Can I add my own HTML code in the editor?

The drag & drop editor does not have a block for adding your own HTML. Until 2023, there was a ‘Code’ block for this purpose, but it caused too many issues and vulnerabilities and therefore no longer exists.

A text block does contain the ‘Source code’ button. However, this is only intended for the text and links within that block, such as an anchor link, a tel: link or a span to prevent text from automatically turning into a link. Do not use this button to change the structure of the block. If you add your own code, you are responsible for the result. The helpdesk will not fix manually added code.

Adding a table via the source code is not a good idea either, as many email clients will not display it as intended. View the alternatives in Fixing a table that is not displayed properly.

Importing a complete newsletter or template in HTML

If you want to have full control over the HTML of your newsletter, you should import your newsletter rather than using the editor. You can import a ready-made newsletter from a URL, from your computer or by entering the HTML code directly. You can add a custom template in the same way.

If you import your own HTML, you are responsible for how it is displayed across all email clients and browsers. Therefore, keep the code simple and semantically structured.
