Why is an unsubscribe link required in your newsletter?
The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) sets a number of requirements for sending newsletters. One of these is that your subscribers must be able to easily unsubscribe from future newsletters. That is why Laposta includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every newsletter by default.
You can decide what this link looks like: when creating your campaign, you can edit the text of the link and the text surrounding it. Where the link is placed, either in the promotional banner or in the footer, depends on your account type. You can read more about this in the webversion, edit and unsubscribe links.
It is not possible to send a newsletter without an unsubscribe link. In a free account, the link is fixed. If you remove it from your footer in a paid account, you cannot proceed to step 5 of your campaign until you have added it again.
When a subscriber clicks the link, the Laposta unsubscribe message opens. After confirmation, the email address is moved to your unsubscribed subscribers.
Sending service emails without an unsubscribe link
Service emails may be sent without an unsubscribe link. Such an email only contains information about maintenance, service or an invoice that applies directly to the purchased product. It must not contain any commercial content, not even in the margins.
If you want to send service emails without an unsubscribe link, you can request this from the helpdesk via helpdesk@laposta.nl. This is only possible with a paid account (subscription).
