Restoring inconsistent line spacing in old campaigns
During the third weekend of May 2023, the drag & drop editor was updated so that you can also adjust the mobile display of a campaign. If you continue working on a campaign that was created before that date, the line spacing in lists and the display of fonts may differ. This almost only happens if you manually changed the formatting of a block at the time.
Restoring line spacing in a list
In the ‘Text’ and ‘Text with image’ blocks, the line spacing of lists has been adjusted so that different email clients display it consistently. If the line spacing of a list in your block differs significantly from what you are used to, it is best to place a new block and fill it in again.
Restoring the font of pasted text
If you copy text from Word and paste it into your campaign, the formatting from Word is copied along with it. In the ‘Preview’, you will then see a different font from the one you set. You can resolve this as follows:
- Click next to your newsletter, go to the ‘Global design’ tab and click ‘Body’. Enter the desired font, colour, size and style. Click ‘Save’.
- Select your block and go to the ‘Content’ tab on the left side of your screen. Select the text in the text box, for example using Ctrl + A, and click ‘Clear formatting’ in the toolbar above the text box. The text will now take on the font from your global design.
If you only want to adjust the font in a single block, you do not need to change the ‘Global design’. Select the text block, go to the ‘Design’ tab and set the font separately under ‘Title’ and ‘Text’. Read more in The formatting and design of text.
Preferably avoid adding HTML or CSS code to your text block. This often leads to display errors.
