Detecting broken links with the link check in step 5

During the last check of your campaign in step 5, Laposta automatically checks whether the web addresses in your newsletter can be reached. At the bottom of that page, you will see the result of this check under ‘Are all links working?’. Any addresses that cannot be reached are listed there as broken links.

See which links cannot be reached.

The section Are all links working? reports four links found, two of which are broken, followed by the Broken links overview listing two web addresses with a red cross

Fix the links and have them rechecked.

The same section after fixing the links: a green tick with the message 4 correct links found, without an overview of broken links

Laposta only checks whether a web address can be reached, not whether the link leads to the right page. You should therefore click the links in the overview yourself. If the right webpage opens in a new tab, the link is working and you can ignore the message. If you would like to go through your entire newsletter beforehand, send a testmail first.

Links to an email address (mailto links) are not included in this check.

Go back to step 4 and update the relevant links in your campaign. As soon as you proceed to the last check again, all links will be rechecked.

Once all links are working, or if you decide to ignore the messages, you can send your campaign in step 6.
